To See Your Glory
"Oh God, You are my God, early will I seek You, my soul thirst for You...to see Your power and Your glory as I have seen You in the sanctuary." Psalms 63:1-2
A cry must come forth from the church even as David cried - Oh God, we must see Your power and Your glory! Or, has the church become so arrogant believing it has no need to go up higher. A lost world stumbles about in darkness; this generation has not seen the mighty acts of God. Should this age not witness His mighty Presence? Should not the people speak of the glory of His kingdom and talk of His power?
Miracles, sign and wonders can be like airstrikes upon the battlefield. What soldier in combat would not welcome bombardment from on high as his enemies' strongholds are weakened. So much easier goes the war!
Shall God hold back His arm of power in this generation! Only if His people refuse to cry out!
"Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe," Jesus said to the man of high rank, challenging his faith. In desperate need the man responded, "Sir, I beg You, please come to my house and heal my son. He is dying!"
Jesus answered, "Go your way. Your son will live."
Jesus knew this man understood about signs and wonders. However, does the present day church understand?
Does the Heavenly Father ask:
"What will they do with My signs and wonders?
Will I have to correct them of their blunders?
Will they glorify Me and bring praise to My Son? Or will they just say, oh, we're having so much fun!
We're powerful - we're strong! We can heal!
Look at the crowds - to us they do kneel.'
Oh, My people, if it is wonders you desire,
Then you must be willing to go through the fire.
The fire will burn out the wood and the hay.
And only My pure gold in you will stay.
My people must pray and yield to My Spirit.
(Yet when I move, I hear 'oh I fear it!')
My Spirit will guide and lead you through
And bring you over to the Land that is new.
Wonders will come when My church will pray
And allow My Spirit to continually stay.
You must ask for what reason do you desire a wonder and sign!
Is it curiosity or excitement? My child, don't be blind!
Mankind suffers over the earth in hurt and in pain.
Unless My church matures this all will remain.
Receive My vision; in it you will see
That all things must point to Calvary.
Signs and wonders are given to lift up My Son
And bring all people into the life He has won!"
